The SZM Billet Front Timing Cover is an essential structural upgrade for VR38DETT engines exceeding 1,500 HP. CNC-machined from a single block of 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum, this assembly replaces the multi-piece OEM cast cover to provide the rigidity required for ultra-high-boost applications, this component is engineered to eliminate the block flex that leads to catastrophic engine failure.

At extreme torque levels, the R35's factory cast timing cover acts as a weak point, allowing the front of the engine block to twist. This minute movement causes VTC (Variable Timing Control) sensor misalignment, leading to timing errors, oil leaks, and VVTi control failure.
