Nissan GT-R R35 VR38 Stage 2 Short Block (1650HP)

The Subzero Motorsport Stage 2 VR38 Short Block is built for high-horsepower Nissan GT-R R35 applications where strength, durability, and reliability are critical. Designed around the factory 3.8L VR38DETT platform, this forged short block is engineered to withstand extreme cylinder pressure, high boost, elevated engine speeds, and aggressive ECU calibration, supporting up to 1,650 HP with the proper turbo system, fuel system, and professional tuning.

Building on the proven Stage 1 foundation, the Stage 2 package adds a chrome moly steel girdle, GT1R 12mm main stud conversion, SZM Spec Italian RP Platinum connecting rods, and Diamond forged pistons to increase bottom-end rigidity and rotating assembly strength. Combined with ARP CA625+ head studs and a 1.2mm composite head gasket with integrated copper fire rings, the result is reliable combustion sealing and durability under high cylinder pressure.

Designed for drag racing, roll racing, standing half-mile, and high-performance street builds, the Stage 2 short block provides a solid foundation for four-digit horsepower.
