Factory mass airflow (MAF) sensors and slow-responding OEM thermistors fail to track rapid manifold temperature spikes under high-boost, meth-injected, or heat-soaked conditions, leading to inaccurate ECU air-density calculations, improper fueling trim adjustments, and high-rpm engine knock.
